This version requires Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher. You may be
prompted that you need to download this feature before you can install this
version. You can download this component directly from Microsoft by
clicking here. Or you can visit the Microsoft Update site by clicking on the
Tools menu of your browser and choosing Windows Update.
Please note, if you are
an existing user of this software and are using a version prior to version 7.0
you will be required to RE-REGISTER in order to use the software. Please contact
me for additional information.
This is a
simple utility to keep track of, and optionally map out, your cemetery records.
Most of the cemeteries I have worked with have nothing more than a very old
thick book that they continue to write new entries into. If anything were to
happen to that book all the records would be lost forever. Now is the time to
move that information to media that can be backed-up and saved in multiple
places in case of accidental data loss.
The software (in trial mode) allows for up to 100
records to be inputted.
After registration, the limitation is lifted and an unlimited number of entries
may be inputted. The optional color-coded cemetery map can be used by plotting
out your cemetery into the grid-like map by assigning the Section/Lot/Grave to
grid locations. Sample screenshots are provided at the bottom of this page.
Basic reports are available. Please feel free to try the software at no cost
(for the first 100 records).
The software comes complete with everything you need. However, in order to make
the software compatible with Windows XP and Vista, you may need to download and
install the Microsoft .NET Framework (as mentioned above in paragraph two). This
is an enhancement to your Windows operating system and regardless of whether you
choose this application or not, you should install this important update. If you
are running Windows Vista, you already have this installed.
The maps look like a simple grid, or spreadsheet. You start out with a blank
slate of columns and rows (which you can add or subtract). You create the map by
assigning plot locations to cells on the grid. This then communicates with your
database to color-code the map according to the status of the owner/resident of
the plot. Feel free to try to create your own map. There is help to assist you
with this within the application by clicking on the HELP menu at the top of the
screens.
The application will work with Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP
and Vista. Earlier versions of Windows cannot be guaranteed to be compatible.
The built-in import utility is designed to easily allow you to import your
existing electronic data into the Crypt Keeper database. Please review the help
file for assistance in performing the import. You can also export the data into
a variety of output formats including CSV files, TXT files and MDB files.
The only cost to register the software is a one-time
$49.95 registration fee.
New Features available
in this version:
- Networking / Multiple-User Support. Now you can
share a common folder among many computers on your network so that updating data
can be done more easily.
- Custom Data Fields. Re-configure up to five of the
existing data elements in the database for your own purposes.
- Multiple Interred. Now you may assign a duplicate
section/lot/grave number among more than one interred.
- Images. You may now assign an image file to your
cemetery records.
- Enhanced Reporting. The custom reporting feature
(historically a separate module that required separate payment) is now
incorporated into the main application.
- Enhanced Exporting. You may now export the
database to a Microsoft Access Database so that you can write your own custom
reports.
- Enhanced Importing. The import function has been
improved.

Optionally, you can create a custom map of your
cemetery as sampled below:

Once your cemetery map is created, you can view
the interactive, color-coded map via the data entry screen (the map button in
the toolbar). Clicking in a location of the map will display the name(s) of the
person buried in the lot (if applicable). Double-clicking on a name in the
"Interred Name(s)" box will open the record in the Data Entry window:
